We started off meeting at Tesco's garage at Roborough, we had aranged for 6 of us to meet, but had a text that a guy called Chris who would be turning up wished to go on the rideout.
Chris introduced himself to me and the other guys, we all had a chat for a while then decided it was time to crack on with the ride. We started off with the first lane near Belliver,
this lane was very wet and slippery with a deep puddle at the end. On to the next lane in which Ian encountered a Badger and whilst trying to get up he decided to throw the bike onto himself. Further down the lane Lawence over shot a corner and had a small badger but not recorded on video sorry for that
We ended up crossing the river at Lopwell Dam, the water was pretty deep and was rushing through the gaps of the walkway. I didn't like the crossing very much as I could feel the water rushing through and it was pushing the rear off my bike to the point that I though it was going to slip over. When you see the video close your ears as I am swearing when making the river crossing. We all need it across safe . It was time for a smoke break for the smokers and for me to wipe my seat off We set off again heading towards the lower river crossing but did not cross over. I decieded to have a badger myself when we were leaving the river lane, the landing was very soft but boy I was smelling for the rest of the day. Moving on to the lane that passes Geralds farm. I'm not too familer with the lane numbers or what ever in that area, we made our way through over lanes up toward Tavistock moving right on to Grennifen lane which for a couple of us was a shambels. I had to stop half way up because of other riders having issues because of it being very slippery I ended up droping my bike lost my footing and when the bike hit the ground it jammed my throttle in the close postition so had to do a roadside repare before i could move on again. We all made it to the top after spinning and slipping all over the place. At the top of the lane the smoker's had another smoke, a cup of coffee and Ian was giving away a steak and kidney pie well Shaun from Torpiont had that before antone could put there hand up. The day went very well with no problems other then a couple of badgers, Shaun (stumpy) still had problems with his starter so thats needs to be sorted. I made a bad mistake I decided to try my Knobbly rear tyre today wrong..... with the lanes today being so slippery I should have kepted the Mt 43 on not to worry. We all said our goodbyes and made our way home, my wife was surpriseed that I was home so early 1:00 and that was to early
