Yep agreed, big thanks to Mike for leading, the route was fantastic, it was another top day out with the lads, plenty of laughs, badgers and banter as usual, sorry to see Danny leave for an early shower but at least he's sorted his bike out, see you all again soon.

Justin.

Glad you hade a good time- It was great to ride out with you all.

I dont think I have ever seen so much mud on so many people- ache more from laughing than falling off.  - the banter is just the best.

Hope you managed to get back alright Danny- what caused the failure? water in the carb?

Charlie- properly impressed that you stripped the teeth off of both front and rear sprockets-(great vids by the way)

Cheers once again all for joining the ride-

I will post the route up wednesday for anyone interested

Until the next time

Mike

Danny- water arround plug shouldnt be too much of an issue if your plug cap seal fits tight arround the plug.  I had conking out probs in very similar circumstances and always thought it was the carb. It still happened after re routing the carb breathers. Turned out that my over liberal use of a (wd40 style ) lubricant expanded the rubber plug cap seal and left it all baggy.  First peep of water and -stall!!!. The heat of the engine dried it after a while and it would start- In the meantime I would have drained the carb and thought that I had solved the problem!! Spent ages looking for how the water was getting into the carb and it was the plug cap all along!

cheers

Mike

Evening all

Here was the route for anyone interested.

A quick warm up up and down 201-030 and then off to peter tavy and  201- 055.(The surprising stoney climb)

Off to Lydford  201,006 201.099  (Puncture) up and down 191-100( Danno's demise) and 191-050 (had lunch and fuel top up )). 201-060 , to lewtrenchard 201-002 and then up 201-007.

to chillaton 201,092 and 201,011.  A quick detour off to meadwell for 201,010 and then to Charlies favourite walk-201 014.

Up and down 201,012 and on to 201,016.  After that to Sydenham Damerel 201,020  201,024  201,025  and 201,029.

to Chipshop and then left down 201,033.  On to the Harvest home and 201,034  and 201,035 (yes- the one with the now very washed out step - ouch).

From there to the Bere peninsula- 201,063,  201,042 and 201,043.  Along the estuary 201,070  201,071  201,072. A quick return along 201,046(tide coming in) then down and up 201,044.

We left out 201,041- went back up 201,063  and down 201,037 into Tavi.

From there up 201,038 and then you Plymouth boys made your way home from there. I have a memory map route if anyone wants it.

Cheers

Mike
