Set off this morning expecting dark sky and biblical rain -but no- by the time we met at Morrissons the weather was fine and stayed so all day.
A quick warm up up and down 201-030 (first badger) and then off to 201- 055. Bonnie showed us all how it was done by cleaning it ( well just one dab).
Off to Lydford up and down 191-100 and 191-050 (too many chickens for the deep puddle). 201-060 , 201-002 and then up 201-007 (mayhem- Mossy Danny Kelly pile-up). Some sweating pushing and heaving cleared the log jam for Bonny to sail up. Danny "its not gonna beat me" repeated the lane and blasted up.
201-192 and up and down 201-010. (darned slippy beastie which caught Mossy and Me).
on to 201-104- a lovely trudge through the sludge then up and down 201-102.
All going great- then Flat number one- Mossy rips out the rear valve stem
Step up " Kelly the prop" and "Danny the levers"- Wheel out , tube changed and were off.
2 minutes later - Danny has a flat front (He wishes) "Kelly the Prop" "Danny the levers"- "Mossy on spanners"- Bonnie supervising- new tube and were off. Two punctures sorted in well under the hour- formula one would be proud.
201-016 (Mossy said goodbye and headed off on his long ride back to Plympton),201-20,201-024,201-025,201-029 all great lanes bathed in sunshine.
On to 201-033, down and up 201 035, 201-063,up 201-041 and on to Bere ferrers.
201-270 Now Danny has a little mirror for checking his make up and lippy (though he will pretend its to check his helmet cam is on ). His fascination with with skin tone and complexion clearly determined the need to give Kelly a complete and comprehensive mudbath. Left him unrecognisable after passing him in the heavy black silt. Just laughed until it hurt
Back up to 201-044/5 and down to the dam- Bit more laughing and then "Danny the levers" and "Kelly the Prop" made for home.
Bonny and I went back up 201-045 ,201-070,201-043,201-042,201-063 and finally 201-037.
Thanks all for a great day, plenty of banter and a lot of laughs. (and to him upstairs for near perfect weather).
Till the next one
Mike

Spot on report Mike. Summed the day up well. Unfortunately I only managed to record half the days adventures as I was taking photos rather than recording...
Anyway I did manage to get some good footage (and some unintended pics)H
As you said, the weather was ideal. T'was a good laugh today (sorry Kelly)
Thanks again Mike. Good one!!!

Nice write up Mike and good vids lads. It certainly was a slippery ride. I think I spent more time in the mud than on the bike but hey its all part of the fun I guess.
Thanks for the help with the flat. Enjoyed the company and the ride / rolling around on the deck. Practice makes...well, ruts more bearable :)
Need to give the bike some attention before I see the lanes again...namely - rear tyre, rear wheel wobble :(
