08 EC250 2 stroke chris, no engine braking,blooming scarey, went out on thursday on it, great apart from downhill, any tips greatly appreciated, and no " hang on wont surface lol, on sunday took the CRF again as didnt want to brake my neck
If you need to, a deft touch on the brakes will suffice. Two strokes nice though, poodle along nice and gentle - kick it down a gear and you have a screaming monster on your hands. I love em!
I for one don't miss the engine braking on 4 banger. It's nice to shut off the throttle and not have the bike dive on the forks, then when you open it up there is no chain snap as it brings back in the power. However I do miss the raw low down grunt, and you can be lazy with gear selection. Can't have it all though.
