Hi All
I led a small group around SE Cornwall yesterday with absolutely no problems other than with 201-641.
The wood at the bottom of this lane is now one great big pheasant rearing area and there is a 2-wire electric fence blocking the route. The electric fence has two rubber handles so you can disconnect it (and it wasn't live) but it is almost impossible to see the wires when approaching the drop into the wood.
We were stopped by a young gamekeeper who produced laminated maps, showing the footpaths through the woods, taken from the Cornwall Highways Interactive Mapping. Unfortunately they were at OS 1:25,000 scale and, as well know, you have to scale in a lot more to show the 'roads'!
I've reported the obstruction to Cornwall Highways and PRoW via their website but I would appreciate it if anyone riding in the area could check it out occassioanlly as it's a fair distance from me.
I left the young gamekeeper a TVTR card so they can contact me.

Justa  couple of days faster than Devon....

Dear Mr Lander Stow

Thank you for your email regarding your concerns about being apprehended on the above track. Technically the route in question is not designated Byway, but Unclassified Road and as an adopted lane is handled by the Highways Department rather than the Public Rights of Way team. Your enquiry has therefore been passed on to the Area Highways Manager to investigate.

Kind regards

Jon
