Powys enduro 2010 results

A big well done to Tim and Simon for attempting their first timecard enduro.
Results here http://www.mwtra.redwoodweb.co.uk/2010%20Powys%20Results.pdf

An excellent result Tim and commiserations to Simon who retired with an injury whilst also going well. Maybe performing Swan Lake on a bike is not a good idea eh?

Cheers, Rob

Cheers Rob.

Thoroughly enjoyed it. Not as manic as H and H, and because the next number to me didnt turn up, I started all the sections on my own, consequently ended up riding on my own for quite alot of it, which I quite like. But safe in the knowledge that there is someone just a minute behind.

Terrain was not too tough, a few challenging sections, but managed to skip through them all without getting stuck anywhere. And was delighted to see I'd come in 7th in our class. Have to try a bit harder next time , going for a podium!!!!

If anyone can explian to me how the points are worked out I'd be interested to know.

And thanks to Rob for running round with our fuel on the day, couldnt have done it without you!!!

The points (I think) are seconds, add up you special test times and your lateness penalty minutes and that is your points. In Dave Muller's case it was 600 points for booking in early at a check Whoops smile.gif

Cheers, Rob

Cheers Rob for all your help.

Well done Timus you forgot totell everyone you got a GOLD medal are you going to wear it next to your Powys patch ???blankstare

Like Golden boy says a great ride and great views although i think it would be a little different if we had a normal british summer !

To keep my reputation going my event was eventfull ! Firstly my £250 Shoei Hornet DS lid was not display a gold ACU sticker and was duly taken off me in scrutenering cry Luckily with help from Rob , Liz , Laurie, Tim & some very nice locals a new lid was promised , but not till 07.30 the next day and my start time of 08.22. But they were good to there word and the "new" arrived and fitted its strange how quickly you get used to the smell of someone elses sweatblehblehbleh.

so my events were as follows

1. Wide bog lots of spectators 10-15mph , then to 0mph front wheel totally submerged in the bog, i leave the bike catching both tops of thighs on handle bars and i perform a perfect front flip onto the soft bog ! i pick myself up to see Timus tiptoe'ing around the edge. all good back onto the bike

2. Fairly steep muddy slatey climb , the two rides in front of me made a mess of it and where stuck on the hill bit , no time to wait so off i go when after clearly seeing me they decide to move there bike into my line , over the back wheel of one no probs , but then nowhere to go , so i jump off bike and manage to do the splits , double groin strain bleh. recover enough to get back on bike and finish the section but getting up and down on the seat was impossible to i retired crycrycry

cant wait for the next one biggrin
