Many thanks Chris and all on the ride. Great fun and what brilliant weather. Thought we covered a lot of ground, no mechanical gremlins and only a few lesser spotted badgers ..... two by me
Photo of the fog in the valley didn't come out as well as expected ...
What a great day out- Chris, thanks for leading so well and to all for some great company.
Dave - have you been on the pills- only one minor tree climb all day (the 180 on Angel Steps was on purpose surely) -"riding God"status will soon follow!!!!
So there I was, walking the dog in the fog and gloom of a grey Sunday in Ivybridge when I espy a lone biker leaning disconsolately on his bike. I approach and question said disconsolate rider about his woes. Turns out he was on his way to join your ride out and his bike packed up a mile from home. Mutterings of "too much oil and not enough shaking causing the plug to foul" were followed by his partner turning up with suitable implements to hand to aid said stricken rider. Turned out to be Jlaw who lives 2 roads SE of me in Ivybridge. I hope he's got his bike going and manages to get out with the TVTR soon.

I do know where I'm going, but the track it will decide, It's not the destination, It's the glory of the ride!
It was a great day only marred by Jim not being able to make it. At least Jim has now met Andy so has no excuse about getting out on rides when Andy eventually gets back in the saddle. By the time Jim got his bike fixed we were as far apart on the ride as we could possibly be.
Jim I will post a ride soon so hopefully you can make it out. Keep an eye out for Wheely's runs, he will hopefully post something for the coming weekend and usually starts a bit closer to you.
Everyone made remarkable progress, Withy deserves a special mention for a remarkable performance, the angels did gave us a bit of a battering, but all ascended in good time.
Thanks all for coming.
Chris
PS. Watch out for Grasshopper, he is a bit tidy on his new steed. I had to send him on point for a few lanes.
Unfortunately not riding this coming weekend as sis is getting married (bleedin irresponsible of her not to get married on a weekday !! Or why cant she wait a few more years to tie the knot for the 1st time, she's only 45 !!!).
I was retrieving the tool tube that hat become parted from the bike... that is what I was doing... and of course it did mean I could have another recce of the steps!!! Practice, practice, practice!!!!
