Boxing day?

Anyone interested in a boxing day adventure?

If theres any takers I'll take a few people out round the South Hams.

No details as yet - will decide on start point later.

Festive jumpers only on this run.smile

Love to ride your lanes again Tim, but sorry, no can do, Sarah's working Sat & Sun. I will prob put together a Dartmoor loop for Mon/Tues 28/29. If you don't get any takers for boxing day perhaps you could swap your SH ride to then instead?

Are you suggesting I ride like I own the roads? I'm not sure thats entirely justified.smile

Much as I would like to claim them for myself, I am unfortunately obliged to share.

I will certainly come and join you on 28th/29th - just let me know. Got half a taker for boxing day - its a start!

I believe that M&S sell very nice jumpers for middle- aged gentlemen. If Mike's on this ride, please, will someone email me, or post a pic of his new Xmas Jumperbiggrin.

BTW, I shall. of course, at this time, be dressed in the normal Aussie male attire ( shorts, thongs {flip- flops to you and I}, sunnies and a large beer.

All the best Mike, see you next year.

No I wont,.....I'll still be in the tin can, cattle class of course.

Still time to get knitting , Mike.

Barney - are you a definate for this? Not quite sure how we can get just a half day run in for you - the route I'm thinking is a bit strung out, and bailingout at lunchtime could be tricky. But if you're definately coming I'm sure we can come up with some sort of a solution.

This is all weather permitting - if the ground is still frozen then I'll not bother - dont mind a spot of frost over soft mud, but when its like concrete all the way down I dont really think its worth bothering.

No worries, Barney. Have a good one anyway - maybe we can sort something some other time.

Looks like just the usual suspects then.

I think you're all being far too optimistic over the weather conditions. The lane conditions are worth the risk but its the metalled roads which persist with the icy surfaces.

Don't mind saying I am not up for the risk having been biking it over the last 4 days and I'm glad of a rest from the 'unknown'.

But best wishes to everyone, looking forward to more riding in 2010.

Fred
