Knightrider and Gary confirmed last night that 201-056 was deliberately blocked by a lorry....AGAIN! I took a run out....what do you mean? Any chance to show off my new bike!.....and visited the Southern end of the lane and took a photo. I then took some documents proving this is a road and reported the matter to the Police at Tavistock Police Station. I rang PRoW in Exeter and they told me to report it to them as well which I have done.
Who's up for checking it out in a few days time?
There is a new page on the www.tvtr.co.uk website which can be accessed by clicking on the link on the left hand side entitled 'Grendon'.

PC K Reed - Tavistock Police Station - rang me a few minutes ago and said that he'd been to see Mrs Crocker at the farm and told her that he was satisfied that it was a highway and that the lorry needs to be moved. Mrs Crocker was quite amicable about it and said it was put there to stop people scaring the sheep! The lorry belongs to her Uncle and she'll get it moved. If it is not moved then Tavy Police will call in a Commercial Recovery team from Extere to move it - at the Crocker's expense.
I will e-mail DCC about this as I believe the Crockers should replace the fence/hedgerow running around the field. That'd stop the sheep from wandering onto the highway.

Good news, lets hope this teaches them a lesson and the lorry doesn't start getting parked in the lane in a couple of months. One to keep an eye on I reckon
Success of a sort i fear! Kev and i rode this lane this morning, sunday 27th, and the dirty old truck had been removed, success i hear you cry, well yes. We rode lane to the end only to find a heavy duty chain and padlock, "bollocks". Had to turn about and do the ride of shame back to start.
It is just possible i took a wrong turn i suppose, but i don't think so.
Your report will go to the Highway Engineer. A locked gate is an offence under Section 137 of the Highways Act 1980 and will be dealt with accordingly. I'm afraid there isn't anything you can do though it might be worth keeping a discrete distance for the moment until the issue is resolved.

I suggest we keep away from this lane until the dust has settled. I've asked caroline to let me know when it's clear to go back in....I feel another garden party coming on!
