For those of you that didnt come , you missed a cracker.
Bit of a late start due to a visit from the air ambulance for some poor unfortunate soul from the MX meeting beforehand, so it was only a fiver for 2 hours of proper stupid and dangerous fun. It rained, alot at times, there was mud, steep hills, jumps and berms. A good selection of bikes and abilities, no pressure to go fast ( unless you wanted to), plenty of room for everyone to do their own thing.
I'd recommend making the effort to get to the next one.
Actually a lot better than I thought it was going to be. Standing in the rain before the start, watching the track disappear under water, I was fully expecting to have a nightmare. But the surface was pretty hard and stony, and when the rain stopped it dried out pretty quick. Failed to make it up the big hill on the first attempt - got to within ten feet of the top then ran out of momentum and grip, but after that the "as fast as you can at the bottom, on the stop in 3rd all the way to the top " technique seemed to work well.
No pics, sorry. Too wet and muddy to get it out, and far too busy riding. I did see a few cameras being waved about - maybe theres some on the TRF site.
