To Dave (withybrook/Icanhopit) well done and thanks very much for all your efforts leading upto and including today for manning the TRF stand all day at the Plymouth Megaride, providing the banners, bikes etc etc. Thanks to Sonny for helping out and providing a bike from the crowds and kids to sit on. Cheers to Rodge for riding down to help on the stand and generally harass the public. Cheers to Dave's missus for tea making and cake baking. If i've missed anybody out then thanks very much to you all as well. Why is this post on the TVTR website, because in a unselfish gesture Dave put up pictures and literature from Devon & Cornwall TRF as well as the TVTR. All this from a bloke who has only been a member for a few months and who puts some youngsters to shame with his spritely manner. CHEERS MATE we owe you

I've just come off the phone from talking to David (Withybrook).
It would appear that the day was a great success and he will be doing a short report, with piccies, but not tonight.
Many thanks to... Phil for ably assisting in the morning, Sonny and Roger (Hampster) for manning the stand all day with Dave, Len, Dave (Rain Monkey) and Bob who all called in during the day and assisted whilst they were there.
Please note that this free pitch at the Mega Ride was for the TRF not the TVTR. After talking to Dave last week I printed up a banner promoting Trail Riding in Devon and Cornwall, 2 A4 posters promoting the TVTR and the next meeting on the 25th June, and 120 small cards promoting the TRF on one side and the TVTR on the other. Unfortunately it was not possible for me to be there on the day and so I did not say I could be.
A damn good show by Dave and his helpers. I suggest the people who couldn't be there ply them with drinks on the 25th.

I do know where I'm going, but the track it will decide, It's not the destination, It's the glory of the ride!
To all who participated either on the day, or in the background:- well done and my thanks. I'm sure it was a terrific day.
As you all know, I'm out of the country and could not be there. In fact, I only found out about the Mega ride this year from a friend when his rectifier went Kaput on his bike. i was obviously unable to assist.
Please guys, do let me know if we have a similar opportunity next year, I'm certain i can help out in a number of ways. After all, I only live a mile or so away!
Thanks all again, Bosun

Personally I don't think it makes any difference who the pitch was for. We all have the same aims/needs etc. My original post wasn't directly aimed at any one person, I felt frustrated with the general apathy across the three clubs. That's why it was posted one one site with links to it on the other two.
