Just been out putting some road miles on the CRF and to check that nothing was going to fall off (except me of course!)
Checked out 201 -059 as being my nearest lane. Entered from north of the little nursery/garden shop, under broken bridge and onto muddy bit... to T junction, left going north to A379 has a TRO sign (at both ends).... turning right the tarmac is erroding away quite nicely where it drops down onto the clapper bridge/ford and up around a sharp bend. I got lost here so followed the metalled road that came out south of the little nursery.... Looks as though a UCR runs north back up to the A379 just before the broken bridge, signed as being Unsuitable for motor vehicles. I did not try it, but there is a road marked as C***b* lane shown connecting... I did not try from the A379 as a Horse box was parked to? block access onto the lane at the houses at the top.
Probably not the most exciting of lanes, but I would like to know where it goes?
I know the road with the TRO on it was well washed out some years ago as I used to ride my mountain bike in the vicinity.
If you check out what it says against the lane (on the overlay) you'll see that the co-ordinates are incorrect. I suggest we get a copy of the land Charges Map to see where it should go. The exit appears to be down a stream.

I do know where I'm going, but the track it will decide, It's not the destination, It's the glory of the ride!
Looked at webpage .. Devon County Council.. Rights of Way.. my local paths... shows unclassified road and TRO'd bit as footpath, but what are the green dots??? who holds the definitives... Exeter?
Sustrans the cyclepath people have a whole load of plans for this area... using the disused railway..some already built for those who like to get offroad on pedalpowered 2 wheelers!!!
