Memory Map and Map marking

Providing you are a member of the DGTRF, the Devon TRF can supply you with either Map Marking (see their website for details) or they can e-mail you a Memory Map, or Google Earth, overlay.

If you are a TRF member outside of Devon/Cornwall then I believe you can purchase a Memory Map overlay from the respective groups.

If you are a member of the TVTR then you should e-mail me and I'll send it to you. I have Memory Map overlays for Devon, Cornwall, Somerset, Mid Wales and Dorset.

Whilst the Devon Mapping is considered 'inviolate' the Corwall and Mid-Wales overlays come with warnings that some of the routes may be restricted/TRO'd when you get to them.

The Mid-Wales overlay was produced by Liz Millet from her extensive knowledge of the lanes there and with the help of Marianne Walford of the Mid-Wales TRF.

The Corwall overlay was produced by myself using the old version of the Cornwall Highways Interactive Mapping The newer version is now up to speed.

Hi Gump

To get the devon maps you'll need to go onto the devon TRF web site. The overlays for google earth or memory map will be emailed to you. I'm sure who does this right now but the DTRF site recomends you email John Heal and he will direct you accordingly.

The TVTR is a branch-out from DTRF and although you've joined this forum you havent actually joined as a member of this club thus you wont get acces to any of Fixer's mapping. To join the TVTR you need to be a TRF member (and show your card at a meeting) & go out on a few rides with TVTR members (which you may have done aleady as you've ridden with me/NeilEXC and with KevDoyle/Mike) and then be voted in as a new member at one of the monthly meets. Think you also have to pay a fiver for a lifelong membership with tvtr. Once in you may request overlays etc.

Hope this helps - I think I've got my info correct, if not I can rely on Fixer to correct any errata.

Cheers

To repeat my posting above....

If you are a member of the TVTR you can e-mail me for the overlays. If you are not a member of the TVTR then you need to e-mail the Rights of Way officer for either the Devon TRF or the Cornwall TRF.
