Copied from Cornwall TRF site. Ross's post 'Forest trail ride'
Please visit the Cornwall TRF site and respond there if you are willing to help with this good deed. Jeff
As many of you know Jeff and I helped the Welsh TRF and Caerphilly MCC earlier this year with an event that gives people with both learning and physical difficulties the chance to enjoy trail riding as we do. We are kean to stage such an event here in Cornwall. I Have contacted Home Farm Trust as attched below, but also need to contact the Forestry Commission. Can anyone give me any hepl as to who to contact or does any have a contact in the Forestry Commission which may help. Iwould also be interested to hear from anyone who would like to help with this event. We would require people with trail bikes fitted with rear foot rest, lanrover type vehicle for those not able to ride pillion, people to run the BBQ and general helpers all and any help will be great.
Ladies and Gentlemen. Some of you may not know it but Ross, the Cornwall TRF chairman, is also a TVTR founder member. He's looking for help in ANY form for this event on July 18th. Let's, please, get behind him and commit to this worthy LOCAL cause and give these kids an enjoyable day. Please go to Cornwall TRF website and commit yourselves, or post on here and I'll forward it on for you.
We enjoy our riding so let's help give someone else, who may never get another chance, the opportunity to enjoy it too.
I can't help out with the Motorcycling as I have a motocrosser without any rear footpegs, but will be willing to help out as much as I can with any BBQ or anything really.
This is a very good publicity exercise for all TRF Members and even if your bike cannot take passengers (no rear pillionpegs) I urge you to get involved and show your face and help out.
Please respond directly to Ross (Chairman of the Cornwall TRF) via the e-mail link on the 'Contact Us' page of the Cornwall TRF website.
At the time of writing this I discovered I hadn't updated their contact details so it may be 10am today (8th) before you can send him an e-mail!
Ha! What do I know? It's only 07.35 and I've already updated their site so you can now e-mail Ross with offers of help.
