I would like to award Big Jim this award. As those of you that made it to the meeting last night know, Jim came to the meeting from his home in Croyde. When I left the meeting the weather was quite bad and I decdied that instead of taking the Moors route I would go home via Plymouth. When I got home I was concerned for Jim so I e-mailed him to find out if he got home OK?
His reply......
Hi Andy
It's 4 am and I have just got in . Got to sourton down and didnt want to risk going further on the 386 as I had already had to turn round and take a longer run up on one hill, so I followed a snow plough along the A30 to the M5 then up to junction 27 which was blocked by a lorry so I had to go up to 26 then back down, got to Tiverton and the 361 was closed so I waited for a plough and followed that as far as South Molton and by the time I got to Barnstaple ther was no snow at all.But I'm home now.
Well done to Jim, Simon, Tim and Ross who all travelled many miles to get to the meeting. I'm sorry it took you all those hours Jim, you must have been worn out by the time you got home.
I'm disgusted that we appear to have one of those 'dangerous' motorists in the group, Simon's number plate is illegible, may possibly be small and may even have incorrect spacing for all we know. Lock him up and throw away the key!.
