Plym valley ride.

Myself and Phil dragged our mountain bikes out of the shed, dusted off the cobwebs and hit the Plym trail.confuse
A pair of hours saw us knackered and covered in mud. ashamed
Only a small ride to break us back into it. Will increase the distance and start introducing sprint training into our rides as we get fitter. (if we don't die in the process!!cry)

Its a lots easier with an engine in your bike!!wink

Good on you pair. Couple of hours that must be at least 800 calories

I that the old railway line down Plymbridge?

If so I ride that route quite regularly on the way to work and back, its a long drag on the way up the hill but a good sprint on the way down, hopefully see on route some day.

Chris

Cheers Chris. Yep thats the one. We used to cycle up it to the Skylark pub, quick soda and then tear ass back down the hill.biggrin

I even rode up to Sheeps Tor, around the reservoir and back to Coypool but that was many moons ago. The night before that ride Phil phoned me up and said he had "damaged" his leg and could'nt make the ride. Half way round the reservoir i phoned him up to tell him i was "blowing out my hoop" and he informed me that there was now't wrong with his leg, he'd driven the route the night before in his car and thought "bugger that for a game of soldiers" and bailed out on me!!  Git!disbelieffuriousevileye

Lots of training to get back to that level.cry

Trying to slim down and get a good level of fitness for the Cambrian Rally in Oct, which will be our first enduro event. confuse

Sonny, if you keep at it your fitness will return amazingly quickly.
That was a good trek you mention above, around 20 miles I reckon. You should definately aim to do that route by the end of Feb. If you do I'll stand you a soda!

Good luck

Chris
