It was pointed out to me by Cap'n Slow that the 10th was the day after the DGTRF meeting and it may stop people attending both meetings if they have a restricted access pass from their partners/children/dog/imaginary friend etc.

Cant make the 17th as I will be on the road somewhere between San Francisco and LA, also wont be able to make trials training on 13th as that is the day we fly out.
sadly i will now have to miss this meeting due to "Six Sigma" training at work, going to be stuck in Leciester for two days, doing fundamentals of Honeywells Six Sigma systems, ask me on the 19th what its all about, i dont have a clue
Six Sigma is a business management strategy, originally developed by Motorola, that today enjoys widespread application in many sectors of industry.
Six Sigma seeks to identify and remove the causes of defects and errors in manufacturing and business processes. It uses a set of quality management methods, including statistical methods, and creates a special infrastructure of people within the organization ("Black Belts" etc.) who are experts in these methods. Each Six Sigma project carried out within an organization follows a defined sequence of steps and has quantified financial targets (cost reduction or profit increase)
Sounds like b*ll*x to me as the world spins down the toilet in a credit crunch.

A very worthwhile meeting tonight, I thought. My recollections are that:
1). Fixer has a very large ride out on Saturday, and that possibly two ride outs are necessary some weeks. Hence Jeff, who can't make Saturday, will post a ride out for Sunday. If so, i'm in please Jeff. Thereafter it will probably need to be played by ear.
2). 'Point of contact' person will change amongst the original 13 founder members., to relieve the workload on Fixer..and this person will write to DCC re blocked lanes etc. etc. and facilitate the agenda at the next meeting. I don't recall a time scale per person being agreed, however, put me down for my stint whenever I'm needed..no probs.
3). I think it was generally accepted that the group is our group ( 13 originals) and not Fixer's group. Memory tells me that the formation of the group was not actually Fixer's idea..please correct me if I'm wrong. We are what we are, we like to ride legal routes and we will ride them. ( 26 ride outs in 12 months as a minimum, guaranteed).
4). Seven new members were voted into the group with no abstentions and no veto. (The original 13 persons agreed that any single original member, present at the meeting in question, could veto any proposed potential member, and this would outweigh any show of hands)
There was other stuff too but I think these were perhaps the most important items on the agenda, apart from the lack of financial progress on my new gloves. It was a pleasure, too, to see both Kev Jones and Liz at the meeting.
Anything important I've missed? Let me know please.. I'll blame Mr 'Carling Black Label' anyway.
