All of the above events are suitable for TVTR members who like the idea of timed sections and letting the bike 'rip'. See the Cambrian Rally Report on our website (link on left of page)

At the recent AGM of the Welsh Trail Riders Association, the format of events to be organised during 2009 was agreed. It was unanimously decided that the club would withdraw from organising a round of the British Enduro Championship next year, as members felt that increasing difficulty with availability of land for a special test of the standard required, and restrictions on use of certain areas of the forest, make it increasing difficult to put on a course that will stand up to two days of competition without serious deterioration. After nearly 30 years of organising British Championship Enduros, this decision was not taken lightly but it is hoped that the club will be able to apply again for a BEC round in future years, if suitable land can be found. 

The club does not intend to give up on timecard enduros and the Snow Run, another of the oldest events on the calendar, is still scheduled to take place on February 8^th. The course will be set up very much with Clubmen in mind, and is intended to be an enjoyable days riding for all classes.

As a replacement for the Crychan 2-day, a Beacons Trail Bike Rally will be organised on the weekend of 22^nd / 23^rd August in the same forest, with the start at Llandovery Rugby Club. This will follow the format of the established Red Kite and Cambrian Rallies in view of the positive feedback that we have received from competitors about these events. The Red Kite will take place on Easter Sunday, April 12^th, on the MoD Ranges at Eppynt, and will also start at Llandovery Rugby Club. The Cambrian will again be a 2-day event based in the forestry surrounding Llyn Brianne and the adjacent Tywi forest block and will take place on 17^th / 18^th October. It is hoped to set up a club rally championship with 5 days to count towards an end of year social event where awards will be presented to the winners of the various classes. Our rallies are set up very much with big trail bikes in mind, but there are classes for all categories of machine, with 2-stroke enduros catered for in the sports bike class."
