Discovering Lanes - 1st Nov '08

The ride reports on the web site. Read it and weep if you weren't there! It was a great ride with discoveries a plenty.

Another grand report Andy. Bonny's everpresent but well done to Froggerbiker for taking the plunge.

I expect mr TTRfan is salivating at the evidence you've provided on those lanes. Let's hope to hear a call to action. Bob.

You've got your browser set to NOT refresh the page automatically. You need to hold down "Ctrl" and reload the page. This will force the latest page onto your browser. Then go into tools and tell it to check for the latest page every visit.

An update to the report....
I rang the Rights of Way Area Manager for 202-161 and told him I was upset that in 6 months the lane had become more blocked than it had been. I explained that the SE end had been deliberately blocked and said that I wanted something to be done about it. The Manager has to look after all the RoW in his area which is footpaths, Bridleways etc., and said that he had a deadline of 31st March '09 to get the round all 'his' parishes but he would go and look at 161.
I then rang Caroline Gatterell who is the DCC head RoW person at City Hall in Exeter and she assured me that teh area manager would see to it and if the farmer didn't get his act together they would get a Court Order to make sure he did.
Caroline also asked that we tell them about any blocked lane!
I told her to check the ride report from Saturday so she could see the photos.

Brian Sussex has been kept in the loop about this matter and I've also sent him a full report on 202-333 including a redrawn Land Charges map.
