Saturday October 11th. Plymouth Start

Ride out starting at Belliver Roundabout, Roborough 9.30.

Confirmed are Captain Slow (leading without the aid of a MAP!!!)
Bonny (everpresent)
Silver Fox (TEC of distinction)
Chris M (couldn't make the run last week).

A place is reserved for Wheelie (please let me know if you can make it Mark).

We'll ride, whatever the weather AND a lunch stop is guaranteed ('cos I don't get many miles to the tank).

Please post if you wish to join us for a slither around West Devon, briefly into East Cornwall (Silver Fox will be happy to provide a Visa for a small consideration) and back into the world of the living.

Bob.

Count me in if you have a place.
I now fully understand why Silver Fox enjoys this position in the groupwink.gif
Cheers,
Neil.

Hope you don't mind Neil but it'll be essentially the same route as the 4th Oct. I'm trying to learn it by heart. Bob

Thats OK with me Bob, it was a great route and it will be good to do it again, just hope the weather is a bit kinder sun.gif
Looking forward to meeting Brian and Mark if he can make it.
Low tide is about 10:00 so should be able to cross Lopwell Dam if that fits your plan.
Cheers,
Neil.

Yep, that's in the plan. Now, I noticed there weren't that many pasties available at Pearces last week. If any of you fancy a pastie for your lunch let me know 07966 626838 ( a text will do if you prefer) and I'll phone Pearce's and ask them to reserve the appropriate number. I know they do Cheese and Onion and the usual Steak, presumably in various sizes. I'll order them under a secret code because it is possible that Fixer's T2T group will be passing by and I don't want them blagging my pastie. Bob...

I should have said 'I'll TRY to reserve the pasties', after all we'll be in Cornwall and although the very nice young lady on the Pastie counter last week was on the ball this week we may get the village idiot.

Hey Bob

Firstly thanks for reserving me a place on Saturdays ride.

Unfortunately this Saturday I look after my younger lad (7). Although my oldest (19) will babysit, he can only do so until 2pm.

So even though I could go out for a while, I'd need to peel off quite early - which is also disrupting for the group.

Maybe I should wait until I can join u for the whole period ??

Also sounds like you did a real good job on the run leading last time. Well done mate.

Mark

Mark, You're welcome even if you need to peel off early. Chris generally has to leave around 1pm so if you need to leave early too that's not a problem. Please let me know either way. Bob.

I have been relieved of T2T duties so I may be staying up in Scotland until Sunday. If I do come back on Friday I'll be along for the ride if possible?

I like candy floss Bob! biggrin

What time are we setting off from Gulworthy manor on Saturday?

Me you and Andrew need to get sorted early next week for the big one. Dawn's making Pasties x 4 for Friday nights dinner, make sure you bring the Rennies.

Reserve me one or Two of Pearces finest for Saturday if you can mate. If its raining we can eat them in my garage.

How about 9 o'clock Jeff? I will try and reserve some pasties for you and me, perhaps the others are dieting or think I'm joking.
Yes, we need to get sorted soon, Sunday difficult for me because of ongoing work at home but Mon or Tues no problem.
I wouldn't insult Dawn by suggesting we'd need Rennies after her pasties, if she reads what you wrote she may only make 3 and you wont get one.

Jeff, can you link a few Cornwall lanes together on Sat that we can do after the lunch stop (avoiding the Royal route)? Then back over New Bridge to continue my planned route?

Haven't ordered the pasties, after a chat with one of our our Cornish colleagues (Silver Fox). We'll be stopping at Pearce's for fuel only( well I know I'll need some!) and then doing a few Cornish lanes before stopping for lunch at a very secret location. If we get away on time at 9.30 and don't keep stopping for fag breaks and stuff we should all be able to have lunch together before Chris and Wheely shoot off home.

Thanks for organizing a great ride yesterday Bob, I think you've now earned you're "wings" as a run leaderfloating.gif
Sorry I had to bail out after lunch but I thought it was more convenient to all to leave then than later in the Cornish section.
Good to meet Brian, Chris, Kev and Mark.
Always a pleasure to follow you Bonnywink.gif.
Well done Jeff for flashing the tyre irons and keeping us moving.
To all on the Cambrian, have a great time and look forward to our next rideout when you get back.
Cheers,
Neil.

Great bit of run leading yesterday Bob. Neils right you've earned your wings OK.

Thanks to everyone I had a great ride. Even that beastly Kevin for soaking me through the big puddles, Just because I laughed while he was head down in the mire. Thanks also for the go on your KTM Bob, I like it, but fear the awesome power of the orange beast.

Couple of new guys that I would like to nominate as members, Kevin (Knightrider) and Mark (Wheely) so if someone would like to second them please.

Want to join us?
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

TRF Members may join us on rides when there is space available. Priority is given to TVTR members.
Non-TRF members may ride with us once before we ask that they support the TRF by joining - any area but preferably Cornwall or Devon. It is easy to join just click here and use Paypal.

To join the TVTR, you have to be invited. This means if you are unknown to any of the existing group you will need to come on rides so we get to know you.

There is no fee for joining but a £5 voluntary contribution towards the upkeep of the website etc., has been normal.

Just copied this from the Home page, so yes, we now know Kev and Mark and also yes I'm happy to second them as TVTR members if they'd like to join us but we must'nt forget Billy Boy who has also expressed an interest in joining us and has been out with us so I'd like to propose him as a member and now I need a second please chaps.

Thanks to all for your kind words. I really enjoyed it yesterday. Everyone was up for a good time and was happy to keep the ride flowing which made it easier for me and a big bonus was the fine weather. Special thanks to Jeff and Brian for getting their hands dirty helping Wheely with his puncture and replacement tube and to Jeff for the introduction to those Cornish lanes which linked in well with the planned ride.

I want to say thanks to you guys for letting me join you yesterday - really enjoyed the ride and really enjoyed the company of y'all.

A special thanks to Bob for doing a great leading job, to Brian and Jeff doing virtually all the puncture repair work for me (my first ever on a trail) and to Chris for lending me a new tube to get me going again !!

Most of those lanes were new to me and so much different to the normal south hams ones i've got to know. The views across the Tamar valley were awesome too.

Thanks for nominating me to join, I am currently a TRF member so this will be no problem to me.

Hope to try and get out with you guys soon - wont be the next couple of weeks s have plans - but I'll be back smile.gif

Thanks again

Mark / Wheely
