Thought I'd best say hello and introduce myself.

I am a 33yr old who up until a month ago had never been off road on a bike, was a sportsbike fan and love my trackdays. That was until I accidentally did a Yamaha offroad day at Goldings Barn MX track in Sussex. I have never had so much fun on 2 wheels in the 17 odd years I've been riding so had to get myself a bike and join the fun.

I now have a 2009 KTM250 EXC F which I am running in and I am looking forward to having a go at some hare and hound events and similar (don't really know much about it so open to suggestions) as well as prectice days on any MX tracks that I can do and also some green laning.

Currently I am based in Torpoint and will be looking for a riding partner to show me about and give me some hints and tipssmile

Hello Pete, Glad you found your way to this Forum. We're all TRF members so you'll probably see us on the Devon and Cornwall forums too. We plan to have at least 26 rides out a year and a gang of us have just come back from Wiltshire...their trails are a bit different to ours. Without checking I think our next get together is on the 16th, it'll be already posted somewhere on this forum, so if I don't meet you before that I hope to meet you there. Bob

is it the 13th you mean? Unfortunately I can't make that as am supposed to be goin off to help a guy off a roadbike forum I've not met see if a TT600 is a good bike or not and will prob take up the whole day.

Will keep my eyes peeled tho for ride outs :)

(I knew it would happen when I was out by myself.... had to ditch me bike on a rocky climb earlier today, bikes only 6hrs old! LOL snapped a lever but no damage other than that. I've now brought myself a first aid kit just incase I get hurt but I was too busy giggling to worry bout if I had hurt myself! LOL)

After going out by myself on Sunday and binning it I really hope to find a riding buddy soon, I don't like the idea of breaking a leg or somit and not having someone around to help out... I am just wanting to cover bases, I was fine, except for a serious case of giggles! ;) LOL its just that it could have gone wrong. I now have a 1st aid kit and some other bits I shall carry when out and about but having a partner sounds to me like a very good plan if it goes tits up!
