After much consideration I'm going to get a nearly new 990 Adventure S. I really enjoyed my old 950 Adventure and rode it all over the place. It handled beautifully and I could throw it around like a SuperMoto.
My other choice of bikes to replace the RC8 where Yamaha FJR1300 Moto Guzzi 1200 Sport with £1k tune up kit Yamaha MT-01 - a really funky bike to ride
But the KTM won in the ned due to it being the most fun.
Why the 'S' version? I hate the matt paintwork on the standard model and I really don't want ABS (something else to go wrong.

This raises another question:- Should short legged folk really be allowed to ride Tall bikes? The 'S' variant as we know, has more suspension travel and of course is taller in the saddle than the standard offering. Colour is not an issue since you re painted your RC and if the ABS fails on the standard machine it just reverts back to normal braking. Is there a price difference between the two?
