On a very hot and dry dry Me, Dave T, Justin, Charlie, Shaun, Simon decided it a great idea to take on the British National MX track at Phoenix park. We all met at the Takeaway caf'e for a hearty breakfast and discussed what adjustments should be made to the suspension, tyre pressure..........
On arrival I think most of us after looking at this long and very dry dusty track thought oh-my-god not really sure if im or my bike is up for this ???
But with adrenaline suitably kickin' in we prepared the bikes and ourselves to take on this tricky and challenging track.
The first hole shot of the day was Dave taking a bad fall on one of the tricky double jumps and more or less put the blocks on for the remainder of his day
The remainder carried on riding, which was effectively only managing 3 to 5 laps before your arms and wrist were about to explode, exhaustion creeping in and back to the pits for a well earned rest and a few gallons of water.
It was an interesting day and brought back great memories but I think I will be leaving MX tracks to one side and concentrate on the lanes and other enduro events.
Here are the only two vid's I did manage to film and sorry to Simon as the two fast laps we put in whilst filming him didn't happen as the battery went Blaaaaaaa......
