This should be called a Saltash Ride as all come from PL12 the group consisted of me orange 450 Sam orange 125 Lee orange 690? Neil Orange 450 Ian White (old Honda250?)
First ride for ages and Sam decided I should ride with a Knobbly (he wants the rim so he can fit a tyre suitable for a 125 should have been a 250 but you have to pass the Test?) and this has to be the largest knobbles I have seen(Sam Bought as it was cheap). Being my first ever ride wth a knobbly, first lane was very muddy and no slipping compared to the M43 all got up to the gate next section had been lopped with off cuts stored in the lane, came out the top to see 1000 tonnes based on 50 piles of 20tonnes of rocks neatly tipped the length of the lane but to loose and undulating to attempt riding over the top and it was very narrow down either side, we all got through with a bit of sweat, but it made it more challenging. next bit is down hill this was very muddy, Knobbly was brilliant down then back up through the most cow slurry I have ever seen here. the bikes made it stink even more being hot S--t Got spotted at Trerulefoot services by three Rosers so stopped up the road but they just went past, we now headed for all the normal lanes to Lerryn through Duloe out at Trefannys (bumped into a group at 649 from Bodmin none TRF all 12 X trial riders?) Tide was out so we crossed the river heading back towards Liskeard usual lanes though the first one 006 has had a good wash out which made it more challenging. Started raining not heavy but we all wanted to try and get back for 1pm 26 lanes completed I decided as it was 12.30 back to Morrison's for CHEAPER petrol so just one more lane 690 well they will all tell you I had my biggest Badger Bloody Knobbly I ended almost doing a 180 across a rut and face planted in the mud still haven't worked out what happened no damage engine still running onwards we go all four saw this one? getting to wet now so fueled bikes back to Ians place for a steam clean including me great morning out with good company.
