Apparently, the Wife of the owner took the small cabin cruiser, powered by this engine, out to sea with several of her son's friends.
When some distance away from shore, she realised that the boat was sinking, she panicked and drove the boat straight up a beach.
Obviously she saved the children in so doing, but since the tide was coming in, the boat partially sank and was written off.

I bought the engine as spares for another boat I had, since it came with other salvaged items of electronics and so on.

Just about everything is there, with the exception of the crank and the power trim and tilt unit.

Generally in good order and a component part is the Yamaha remote control with keys.
