Guess the lane?

The clue is the lane is near to Buckfast. You will see that the good people at Highways/PRoW have decided to 'repair' this lane.

One can only hope it will wash out during the winter and be back to it's normal challenging self.

Spoiled it , they have.

Used to be lovely rocky gulley, now an expanse of smoothed out chippings.

Total waste of time and effort, cos a decent winters worth of rain will have the whole lot in the road at the bottom.
And I thought the country was broke, yet they still find the cash to waste on things like this.

I think South West Water repaired the lane after their water main sprung a leak last year. I think you visited on the day it happened Fixer.
It won't last for long though but it will be a while before it returns to it's former glory.

Cheers, Rob

That's our affectionately known, 'Slatey Lane' 202-076.. Twas indeed a cracking lane, really challenging, especially when wet ........... before they decided to grade it to the point where you can now practically skateboard on it it's that smoothno!

I truely do hope you guys are right in that it'll wash out, looks like they've done a proper job on it though ....... unfortunately for us. I sacrifice a bit of my MT43 each time I ride it in and effort to restore it to its former glory aww

Sorry Kwacker Geoff, I had to take the obvious location reference out.

Fair do's, your call, but if you were to want any lane to be found and (over)ridden then surely it's one like this where that could help see it restored to it's former glory sooner rather than later? Nay bother, sorry to have 'pin pointed' it so to speakashamed

They've done the same thing to 202 - 200.

What was once a lovely long challenging technical climb, now you could easily hit 50 mph up there.

I didnt bother taking a picture cos it looks exactly the same as the one above.
