Watery woes.

Recently I've been having a few issues with deep water.  For a week or 2 now my bikes been a bit spluttery after ploughing through deep puddles, culminating in a total failure yesterday. Lake Placid ( or was it The Bog of Eternal Stench? I never know the difference), was at its deepest - over the front wheel in places.  Got most of the way through then ground to an embarassing halt.  Flattened the battery trying to restart, then knackered my self kicking the awkward orange b*****d. The plug and cap appeared dry - took the tank off for a closer look and all seemed fine. Finally got it going after towing it for several hundred yards.

I rerouted the carb breathers when I bought the bike, and havent had a problem with deep water until recently. As I said, the HT lead and plug looked dry, and I have replaced the HT cap recently. What else should I be checking?

Cheeky git.

Had a new cap not so long ago, but will try it again. I can put the hose on it while its running, and it doesnt stop, so I'm thinking it might be something else.

Apologies for the bad language above - thought this site auto censored?

(done it myself now)
