Hi, newbie to the forum and the TVTR, would this rideout be suitable for a novice newbie please? More to the point could you put up with one for 5-6 hours :-0

Hi KaR1e, yes this will be a fine ride for a novice. There will be some reasonably tricky stuff also but we have never lost anyone yet. With a bit of pushing and shoving we can get up anything
Graham and Kev you're in.
Have a good ride on the Saturday Bob. Neil if you do decide you can make it let me know.
Chris

Would have loved to have taken you up on your offer had I of been quick enough but alas I will be away on holiday then so no could do anyway. Hope you have a good one. I'll be sure to check the forum for a ride report from the luxury of my cabin (well lardy-daa me ) to see what I missed
Hi Chris, possibly because Fixer's wife Brenda has been very poorly for the last few weeks...Barney is recently a father again....Jeff keeps getting the overtime......Neil keeps going somewhere......no-ones seen Fred for months....Adam's had his bike nicked...the list could go on and on. Thank goodness Wheely and yourself have been getting out, and Knightrider and Grasshopper, Nickspark and Dave H.
It's true though that not all rides are being advertised.
A very true statement and hopefully when all are recovered, grown up, less work, reappear, re-emerge and replaced. We can look forward to the good days with a plethora of rides advertised.
I would do, a ride up Vesuvius would be good but Easyjets luggage allowance wont cover it so I'll be taking my walking boots instead.
See y'all when I get back. I'll be chomping at the bit to get out on the bike! Hope it rains while I'm away - not meaning that in a malicious, ha ha I'm on holiday you're not type way, just so the lanes are good and muddy when I get back (well, maybe a bit of the former )
nice one chris glad to see a ride out again up on the site i thought everyone had given up the biking will have to have a fight with the spiders to find the bike again will meet you over yours bud on the day might have to have a play on the way lol see you all soon rob

You off "Up Pompei" mate Cracking place .... but be careful ..... Vesuvius is well over due. Amazing to see pompei itself though. Enjoy
This is a big group so if anyone wants to go with Andy on Saturday please feel free to do so I will not be offended. I wish I could go with Andy I love the lanes down that way!
That had to be the highlight of my day watching you venture off piste into the river Tavy mud, priceless.
Thanks to all for a great day, many thing to conspire against us, rivers in spate, fallen trees. Suicidal dog walkers (thanks to Neil for putting him straight).
Out with Jeff and the Dorset boys yesterday and amazingly only 1 blocked lane (201-034). Someone had a folding saw in their rukkie, one of the Dorset men is a tree surgeon and a branch was swiftly dismembered to allow us to pass underneath. Of course Jeff went under it sideways, just like McQueen into the fence in The Great Escape- he's a ****y git!.
Definitely second that. What a cracking day. Struggled to start as my knee was giving me jip and unfamiliarity with the new bike, but much improved through the day.
Excellent Badger racing Withy ... I was a contender for a while
Great company and some wicked trails, good route Chris and expertly led.
Chris MASSIVE thanks to you and the lads for a gread intro to your local lanes. I am cream crackered today. Luckly I am the boss decided to take the day off and the wife out to lunch. Big brownie points. Dave kept me entertained all day long, I have never seen any one before have so many badgers in one day. He must be feeling it today. Once again big thankyou for your hospitality. Regards Darren.
mud mud glorious mud- a proper laugh and a great day out. At one point I thought we had lost dave for good in the tidal sludge. Great weather and even better company.
Thanks all and special thanks Chris for organising it- much appreciated.
