Good vids Adam.

Wish I could have been there also, passed by Gerry's farm on our trail it looked quite busy.

Hope those quads didn't spoil your day, like they pretty much ruined ours watching them wreck the trails.

Might see you out there next time, let us know if you're going again.

Chris

Thanks Chris,

I will be popping down there again on the 17th at 10 am biggrin would be great if you can make it.

Geralds is the best practice track i've ridden, we are really lucky to have such a superb place to ride smile

Hi Kev,

It is Geralds Farm, he is open once fortnightly, i wish he was open all the time!

I am going on the 17th with a few friends so let me now if you want to come.

The video's really do not do justice to the terrain, if you are an absolute novice to green laning/off road ridding i would say Geralds may prove to be a serious challenge, possibly dangerous!

Mind you, as i have said before on other forums you have to start somewhere so you may as well jump in the deep end, others may disagree with me on that one! biggrin

The Deepend indeed. The videos certainly dont do it justice - its alot steeper than it looks.

Have they done any maintenance on the track over the winter ?- I've only been there once, last july, and it was hard and dusty - hard to believe last summer, I know -on bits of the track, particularly on the other side of the valley in the bracken, there where some big sections with acceleration whoops all the way up that could do with flattening before they get any bigger.

Cant be there on the 17th - Jubilee trial that day - but would like to get there soon.

hi adam, yes i am a novice rider, only been out with bob and jeff once about 3 weeks ago, going out on a ride with cornwall trf on sat, maybe i should give it a miss, looked fun though, also got family visiting the weekend of the 17th, thanks for offer though, apparently due to DEFRA so ive been told, they limit farms to this sort of thing to 16 days a year, accordng to a friend who does a couple of farms near exeter, they only open for weekends in summer period limited to 16 days, strange!

Kev, I believe the day limit is more to do with planning regulations.. no permission required for that number of days.
