Tyre changing stand

What do people change there tyres on?
I currently use a couple short sections of 2x4 to balance the tyre on but am looking for something more stable, can anyone recommend a good stand?

I wish I had an old fashion metal dustbin. A friend uses his very successfully.

I have a tyre changing apparatus, but wish I had bought a more upmarket one than the one I have.

I use an old 14" car tyre. Cost £0 and saves damage to the discs.

The whole point is to not pay other people to do it!
