I beg to differ Withybrook....in all the photos you are sat down! This subtle but meaningful hint about standing up was aimed at all of those people who, even though I've been preaching the "Standing up" mantra at them for over 2 years now they still don't take any notice. confuse
If Timus, Knightrider, Merlin and myself make it look like an easy ascent then why don't other riders realise that standing up is the answer. It lowers the centre of gravity of the bike, allows the bike to squirm underneath you without distracting you, it allows you to place your weight where it will do the most good - quickly,  and it allows an easy 'step off' if it still goes pear shaped.

Withy, chill my man. If you don't want to stand up, dont!! biggrin

I don't and still get up whatever. May not be "Clean" but who gives a toss, its not like we're competing in Kickstart or anything. confusebiggrin

And thanks to my "stabilisers" its very rare that i go badger watching!!smile
(You just know i'm Derriford bound next ride out after that last statementcry)

*on a serious note, when i get my weight to knee strength ratio sorted (IE stop being a fat git and get to a weight that my knees can support comfortably ) i will stand up more (just to keep Andy quiet/happybiggrin)

**Bonny stop giving me kitkats as its slowing the process down.disbelief(i have the breaking strain of a soggy kit kat when it comes to food!!evileye)
