Silly bitch and dopey mare!

Whats that saying about dogs being like their owners?
Well in our house its the other way round.

Those that know me well know that my Lab, Molly, has had major surgery on her leg 3 times in the past year, the last being a few weeks ago. Yesterday we decided to take her to the beach at Blackpoolsands/Slapton/Hallsands for a gentle? walk and get some fresh air. To cut a long story short Lynne ended up falling down a small bank and caught her ankle under her. A very uncomfortable hours drive to Derriford Hospital revealed that she had badly broken her ankle in 3 places.
After some morphine and sedative they manipulated it back into place before plastering and x-raying it. I spoke to the ortho surgeon last night and she needs plates and pins put in to stabilise it but they cant perform surgery till the swelling goes down. Looks like shes going to be in hospital for 3-5 days and then no weight bearing on the leg for a min on 2 weeks.cry

Anyone got a spare female that loves cooking/washing/ironing/housework  that i could borrow for a few weeks please? winkbiggrinbiggrin

Bonny, up for a challenge maybe ??smile

Many commiserations to Lynne and I hope it all goes more smoothly that the walk did.

I reckon you'll be a house husband for at least 5 weeks but, don't worry, I told everyone to bring grapes so they won't spoil your figure! biggrinbiggrinbiggrin

Now that is bad luck for Lynne, poor thing. You'll soon lose weight running around to her every beck and call.
