Reports up.

Good news Simon got home OK and he's changed his oil OK. Engine sounds OK even though there was less than 300ml of oil when he drained it. Lucky it was a cold day and the oil wasn't needed to cool the engine down!

Great day with some lovely lanes.

Cheers all and sorry I had to leave so early. It turned out to be a good family do!

One of my pet hates over tightening of sump plugs, but hey better tight than not. Simon I guess it didn't run completely dry how fortunate, nor did it dump its oil in front of your rear tyre on the road!!!!!!! Glad to hear you had a good run. Barney

Great day without a cloud in the sky!  I wouldn't be sorry about leaving us early Fixer some of us like the short days.  Glad XR is OK, after all us kickers have to stick together.  See you soon david

A very BIG thanks to you all yesterday after my sump plug decided to go walkabout , im sure its still out there somewhere all lonely and destined never to be found, a slow rusty demise !!

I,m very glad i wasn't on one of my lone adventures as my tool kit was shall we say a little sparce (never again will i only carry a set of allen keys & 1/2" spanner no)

I really thought it was going to have to be a pick up job , but that was not to be.

To show my thanks to all who were there, a Pasty IOU may be redeemed when we are next out !

As Fixer said only 300 ml of oil when i arrived home ! and the PVC taped bolt i almost considered leaving in there ! a perfect fit and could only be undone with a socket.

A great ride and apologies for causing such a delay to the day.

Until the next adventure......................wink

Oh and there was something to bring a smile to my face when i got home, nope not the misses but my new FMF Powercore 4 (with Q insert) oh yeah!

Smashing few hours out riding- great stuff. I'm pleased and relieved that you got the bike home safely Simon, three cheers for Froggerbiker for his ingenuity and the bit of stick he cleverly whittled down to fit the sump before the others got back to us. Don't worry about holding us up we'd probably only have done a few more lanes but as Andy intimated in his excellent ride report...'all for one and one for all'...it's the only way to go!
