For those of a technical bent you may have noticed that I'm now sporting a double headlight system on my CCM rather more substantial than the set I used to have. I wanted to be able to see when it got dusky as well as giving me the opportunity to go night trailing, so I searched the 'net for a deal. I found it at Furore Cars who were advertising on Ebay a set of dual headlamps not disimilar to the twin setup on a Triumph Speed Triple. They normally sell for £69.99 + P&P but Furore were doing them, in chrome, for £52.98 inc P&P!!! I took a gamble because it said they were "flat dip" and not legal for cars and it didn't mention if the lights had sidelights. Luck was with me as the lights turned up a couple of days later complete with bulbs, a 55/60w and 5w sidelight in each!
I then used a local Engineering shop for supplies and a tube bender to produce a strong cage to protect the lights whilst also serving as a mounting for them. A quick spray in satin black and a few hours work to set up dual relays to handle the power and they're on and working well. I haven't had to use them in the dark yet and I haven't even tried to set the beam height but they are a lot better than either the original CCM lamp or the ones I replaced the original with.
Sooo, not content with the occasional badger watching, you now want to follow them right into the sett. Very smart looking gear, Simon's right, they do look like the Baja lights Hampsterracing had on his old DR 350.
